Gabriela Pinasco Nájera
Ecuadorian journalist with over a decade of experience in digital and multiplatform media. Her work blends journalistic investigation with intimate storytelling, focusing on filmmaking that explore complex social realities and human experiences.
She holds a Master’s in News & Documentary from the University of New York, a Post-graduate certification in Political Communication from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina and a Master’s degree in Human Rights, Democracy and International Justice from the University of Valencia.
From 2019 to 2024, she served as General Digital Editor at Vistazo, one of Ecuador’s leading political magazines, where she founded the audiovisual department in 2022.
Having graduated with honors from ESPOL (Ecuador), Gabriela’s professional trajectory includes the United Nations Reham Al Farra Fellowship and the Gallatin Global Fellowship in Human Rights, as well as the Gabo Foundation’s New Narratives on Drugs grant.
